This first ever age statement release malt from the Lowland's Lochlea farm distillery, is drawn from two of the casks that were filled during the distillery's very first run in August 2018. This bottling represents their oldest expression to date.
Nose: Ripe papaya and banana, plum jelly, vanilla and walnut crunch.
Palate: Well structured but you can taste the youthfulness. A small splash of water rounds the sharper edges without dampening the vibrant red stone fruits, the oak spiciness or the honey overtones.
Finish: All the fruits carry through to the end of a long, lingering finish.
