This expression was distilled in 2006 and 100% aged in a refill sherry puncheon - which holds about 318 litres. Peak maturity, as determined by the staff at Gordon MacPhail, was reached in 2024 so the puncheon was cracked open, yielding an outturn was 599 bottles worldwide.
Nose: Sweet Orkney smoke and vanilla. Citrus zest and a hint of stone fruits.
Palate: Rich and creamy mouthfeel. Stewed red fruits, subtle pepper, caramel apple and Walker's Shortbread.
Finish: A full finish with lingering fruit and spice.
