This limited release, small-batch blend of just eight barrels sees Starlight Distillery’s Carl T. Bourbon aged seven years in new charred American white oak before it’s finished in Mizunara casks made from 200–500-year-old Mizunara oak grown in Hokkaido, Japan.
Mashbill #1: 60% corn, 20% rye, 20% malted barley
Mashbill #2: 51% corn, 9% wheat, 20% rye, 20% malted barley
Nose: Sweet French vanilla and baking spice
Palate: Sandalwood and coconut.
Finish: Long and elegant.
