Cooper's Choice Aberfeldy Beaume

The Coopers Choice range of single cask whiskies from Scotland’s finest distilleries is our homage to these fine craftsmen and their important role in the Scotch whisky industry. In recent years it has become increasingly popular to “finish” mature and grains by resting them for a further short period in casks, which have previously held other wines. Therefore Scotch Whiskies are now finished in Port Pipes, various Sherries and a variety of different wine cask types. Coopers' Choice embraces the variety of flavours different casks offer to their whiskies. The Cooper's Choice Single Cask bottlings have won numerous awards for their innovative and creative cask maturations and finishes. Aberfeldy, is located in the heart of the scenic Perthshire countryside, nestled at the foot of the Scottish Highlands. It was here that the pursuit of Scotch whisky perfection began in 1898, when the stills first produced the beautifully balanced single malt whisky at the heart of the Dewar’s blend. Distilled in September 2015, this single cask matured in American oak before moving to a Beaumes de Venise sweet wine cask for finishing. Total worldwide outturn: 282 bottles.

Nose: complex notes of pear and tropical fruit.

Palate: The palate is very powerful and complex.

Finish: The finish is quite unique, opulent and long lasting.
