This fine 32 year old Highland single grain whisky was laid to sleep at the Invergordon distillery in January 1990 and bottled by Duncan Taylor for their Rare Auld series in August 2022. Drawn from single sherry cask number 520009, it was bottled at a natural strength. Total worldwide outturn: 330 bottles.
Nose: Butterscotch toffee with vanilla biscuits. Hint of sherried fruits, stewed plumes and oak spices.
Palate: Vanilla cream biscuits follow through from the nose with sugar-glazed red fruits, honey, rich oak and a hint of cloves and nutmeg.
Finish: Sweet and fruity with dark chocolate. Complex and long with luxurious richness.
