The relaunched Old Perth is a range of Blended Malt Scotch Whisky which will restore tradition by blending in Perth and exclusively using sherry matured malt from a selection of Scotland's finest distilleries, located in the Glenlivet region of Speyside. The Original has sophisticated sherry-sweet tones and subtle spice at the heart, giving way to warm dried fruits and honeyed cloves. Non chill filtered, no added colour. The Old Perth Original is setup to be a malt drinker's everyday dram.
Nose: Pleasant and distinct sweetness, compact and spicy at the same time. In addition, sweet nut cream, some chocolate and a fresh, spicy note of wood. This is followed by fresh, light fruit notes, plus a little honey.
Palate: Cherry jam, plump raisin, and more chocolate notes.
Finish: Robust on the finish - earthy distillate coming through. Blackberries and leather tamp down this youthful spirit.
