Arran
There are two Arran distilleries on the island of Arran; the original distillery at Lochranza and the newly opened Lagg distillery (which focuses
on peated expressions). Blessed with plentiful water supplies and fertile soil for growning barley, not to mention a close proximity to Glasgow, the island has always been a haven for illicet distilling. But beginning in 1995, legal distillation has made Arran a highly desirable destination for visitors.
