After Bob Dylan trademarked the term 'bottlegged whiskey' in 2015, two whiskey entrepreneurs approached him to create a premium
American whiskey. In 2018, Dylan signed on and in spite of a rocky start (trademark disagreements with Heaven Hill distilery), the brand has quickly taken off. Currently the core expressions are being sourced from various mid-western producers but 2019 plans were unveiled to renovate a 160 year-old church in downtown Nashville into a new distilley and visitor center.
