Kilkerran 16 was a welcome addition to the core range in 2020, and continues to be released annually. With each annual release the maturation can vary slightly, providing a fresh take on the 16 year old with each year.
Nose: Notes of Iberico ham on the nose, along with notes of tinned pineapple, green apples and demerara sugar.
Palate: The palate has a coastal note reminiscent of the seaside and shingle beaches, along with hints of lemon yoghurt, ground pepper and a touch of peat smoke.
Finish: There is a freshness in the finish and the peat smoke influence endures in notes of toasted marshmallows.
