Have you heard the one about two engineers that go on a canoe trip in the Yukon ... Well, that was the inspiration for Bob Baxter and Al Hansen to begin brewing beer in Whitehorse in 1997. Fast forward 12 years later and inspiration strikes again. That is when they purchase a still and start making Two Brewers whisky.
Celebrating the shared history of beer and whisky, Two Brewers takes the flavours (and the equipment) of a brewery to create their one-of-a-kind whisky; an act of ingenuity that marries their engineering background with a passion for beer and spirits.
This expression, from the Classic Series, sees two casks distilled together and aged side by side for a decade and more, combined again into a single, special bottling.
Producer's Tasting Notes
Nose: Fragrant and fruity from the moment liquid and glass meet, blooming as fields of wildflower and low bush berries.
Palate: Simmered citrus meets an arresting nuttiness, preserved lemon and marzipan orbiting a rich nougat core.
Finish: The furor fades slowly.
