The story of Deanston Distillery begins with the opening of a cotton mill, known at the time as Adelphi. When the cotton industry declined, the Deanston Mill was eventually forced to close its doors. But instead of mourning the end of an era, some forward-thinking local investors made the decision to convert the mill to a distillery - thus signalling a new start and a new craft for the local community.
Producer's Tasting Notes
Nose: Fresh hays of summer, malty cereal, rich creamy toffee and honeyed heather, balanced with sweet oak and barley sugar.
Palate: Smooth creamy sweetness with sumptuous hints of fruit, malty honeyed spiciness and soft vanilla.
Finish: Crisp and satisfying with a tingle of cloves which linger, then gently fade.
