Macbeth is a Scotch whisky collection inspired by William Shakespeare’s famous Scottish play, The Tragedy of Macbeth. This series was specially selected and bottled by Elixir Distillers in partnership with fellow independent bottler, Livingstone. The character notes were written by inimitable whisky writer Dave Broom.
Nose: Light ethanol sharpness, currants and spiced baked apples.
Palate: Maintains that alcohol punch, viscous, fruit is somewhat overwhelmed.. Subtle sweetness with milk chocolate and caramel on the back palate.
Finish: Medium finish with wood spices that integrate well with the fruit.
