Milam & Greene Bottled-In-Bond Bourbon

Milam & Greene was created by founder Marsha Milam, blender Heather Greene and Kentucky veteran distiller Marlene Holmes. The distillery is located in the lush Texas Hill Country where the hot summers, mild winters, and wild temperature variances add spark and personality to the spirit. Here are a couple of items that make them special:

• They use a proprietary yeast recipe to yield beautiful aromas.
  
• They distill on a 300-gallon copper pot still in the heart of Texas Hill Country AND on classic column stills in Bardstown, Kentucky because each process produces different notes and character.

The Bottled in Bond Act of 1897 dictates that anyone using the title Bottled in Bond must meet the following criteria:

• The spirit must be produced in a single distilling season by a single distillery
• The spirits must mature in a U.S. bonded warehouse for a minimum of four years
• The aged spirits must be bottled at exactly 50% ABV / 100 Proof

Distilling Season: Fall, 2019. Bottling Season: Spring, 2024
Mash Bill: 70% corn, 22% malted rye, 8% malted barley
Aging: 4 years in char #4 barrels

Producer's Tasting Notes

Nose: Grain forward with notes of candy corn, honey, and chocolate malt.

Palate: Nice viscous palate with notes of fresh bread, malted milk balls, wildflower honey, and a touch of tannic oak.

Finish: Smooth finish with notes of grain, spearmint, and cinnamon
