Blend breakdown: Knockdhu PX Puncheon 21% | Caol Ila Bourbon Barrel 18% | Craigellachie PX Puncheon 24% | Caol Ila Ex Red Wine Barrel 9% | North British Virgin Oak Barrel 28%
Nose: The Caol Ila is immediately apparent as is the smokey campfire. But these settle quickly and allow the toffee and pears to come forward.
Palate: Pleasant but not overly creamy mouthfeel is pleasant - smoked meat, some fruit notes (red fruits) with a nice clean balance..
Finish: Medium finish with lingering tannins.
