Built in 1967, The Glenallachie Distillery (glen-alla-key) is relatively young in terms of Speyside single-malt. A hidden gem located at the foot of
Mount Ben Rinnes in Scotland’s Banffshire County, Glenallachie’s soft and fruity style was (until recently) almost exclusively reserved for blends. Purchased in 2017 by Billy Walker, Trisha Savage and Graham Stevenson, The Glenallachie has recently introduced a new core range of products that are quickly making a name for the distillery in the world of single malt. Winner of the 2019 Scottish Whisky Distillery of the Year award at the Scotish Whisky Awards, along with five medals in the blind tasting competition, the future looks bright for this small but impressive house.
