Glendalough, or the Glen of two Lakes, is renowned for its 6th century monastic settlement founded by St Kevin, a legendary monk and the
man on the Glendalough bottle. In 2011 a group of guys who loved Irish whiskey left the safety of their city jobs and headed into the mountains to take a chance on something more meaningful. Together they built a craft distillery near those mountains in Glendalough. What sets Glendalough apart is finishing all of their whiskeys in a second, very different cask. These are selected especially to accentuate the flavours already inherent in a given whiskey.
