Gladstone Axe Whiskies are made from 100% Malted Barley and aged in oak barrels in Scotland. Created from a selection of Malt Whiskies from
14 different Highland and Islay distilleries, these whiskies are named for prime minister William Gladstone who signed the Spirits Act of 1860 at the behest of Andrew Usher II. This development, which allowed for blending of scotch for the first time, essentially created the scotch whisky industry that is known today.
